{"id":124,"date":"2019-11-13T14:00:57","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T14:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sloughyoungcarers.org\/?page_id=124"},"modified":"2021-01-21T09:50:47","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T09:50:47","slug":"our-story","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sloughyoungcarers.org\/our-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Story"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Our Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Slough Young Carers is co-ordinated by Aik Saath &#8211; Together As One. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>The project has been funded by Slough Borough Council, Berkshire Community foundation (SEGRO fund), and the American Women of Berkshire and Surrey.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slough\nYoung Carers was established in 2014 when a representative from SBC attended\none of Aik Saath\u2019s regular volunteering sessions to deliver an\nawareness-raising presentation. A group of young people put forward a project plan that involved\ndelivering services for young carers. Their project came second in the\ncompetition but staff at Airwave were moved by the passion of the young\nvolunteers and donated seed money to start Slough Young Carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">From the outset, Slough Young Carers has been a co-produced service,<strong> led&nbsp;<em>by<\/em>&nbsp;young carers&nbsp;<em>for<\/em>&nbsp;young carers.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Story Slough Young Carers is co-ordinated by Aik Saath &#8211; Together As One.
